Just an update as I work through points of nutrient and pollutions sources in the watershed, it appears that a majority of the nutrients and sediment that leave the watershed originate from agricultural areas with a distant second to urban areas.   I am proposing using public private partnerships to install buffer strips and infiltration trenches in Rural and urban settings to reduce nutrient loading and stormwater surge.

Here is a very cool web viewer for watersheds that National Geographic has developed. This one is specific it the Chesapeake bay water shed, but it looks like they are working in other areas as well.
